Marina Beach

Whoever chooses the Algarve to spend holidays certainly chooses it due to the beaches and the weather. The fact that they are beautiful, some with great sand, others with more or fewer rocks, with many or fewer people makes them desirable. These are some of the beaches of our choice from Sagres to Loulé city.

Marina Beach

It was considered one of the 10 beaches in Europe by Condé Nast Traveler magazine and it will not be difficult to see why when we arrive at your car park. Located near Lagoa is one of the beaches that serve as a Postcard of the Algarve, with golden sand, turquoise water and rock formations very popular thanks to its caves and also clear and calm waters perfect for diving. The beach is not big but you can usually put your towel at the end of a long staircase. Its cliffs are quite high and have many viewpoints.

Alvor footpath

The coast area of Alvor it’s extensive and accessible by the Alvor footbridge. The beach extends for 7 km, from the beach Três Irmãos. It consists of golden sand, blue sea, dunes and a footbridge near the sea and river. The existence of the footbridge allows circulation safely on top of the dunes and walking near the Alvor Lagoon. The water is calm and its temperature can reach up to 22 degrees.

It is a small beach on the rocky coast near Albufeira. It is a beach dominated by rocks but allows you to extend the towel in the sand. Also, it’s possible to walk next to the water on top of a wall of rocks that has its end/beginning at the beach. Of course, in summer it’s difficult to find a spot on the beach and also find parking. The temperature of the water is usually pleasant and there is a restaurant where you can enjoy the sunset with a privileged landscape. Near Albufeira, there are many more rocky beaches with equal beauty, such as the Coelha beach or the Olhos de Água beach.

It is certainly one of the most visited beaches in the Algarve. What may be less known is its size which allows finding a quiet place. The beach extends from the area next to the marina of Vilamoura, where there are several bars and beach supports (including the famous NoSolo Água), to the area of Olhos de Agua beach in Albufeira. The beach is compact sand and allows you to easily make a long walk, watching the yellow and white rocks. The ripple is weak and the quality of the water is golden. At the top of the cliffs, we can have a magnificent view over the extensive beach. The beach can thus be accessed by Vilamoura and Albufeira.

Quinta do Lago is a tourist resort famous for its golf courses, hotels, restaurants and villas. It is a zone of glamour where the richest spend their holidays. The beach is accessible by a long wooden bridge and has a beach support the famous GiGi restaurant, also with a lot of history in the world of cooking. The beach is protected by dunes and the parking to access the beach is payable and accessible by the Quinta do Lago area.
